Acts 29?

I didn't get too much discussion from the last post on church planting, but I am going to continue asking questions. For this post, what are your thoughts about Acts 29? I have researched some and would love to hear from you guys on what you've seen, heard, or think about what they are about and what they're doing for church planting.

honestly, i don't know too much about it. but, from what little i've read and heard, it seems like the people at acts 29 really have their hearts in the right place. and i their passion is so evident. so it seems really beautiful to me!

good doctrine, okay methodology

More specific:

The doctrinal statement of the Acts 29 Network is solid.

The methodology of Acts 29 churches vary, so some do better than others at engaging the culture with wisdom.

Justin,

I know you are leaving for Indy, but if you get a chance, what methods do you have in mind? I agree with you I think (pretty sure), but would like to hear more. I think you'll agree that there is no reason to use foul language (as some do) in order to reach the culture. At the same time, most of the Acts 29 guys do seem to have a passion for reaching people with the gospel. Assuming we're on the same page (and if not please clarify), what can we learn from Acts 29?

Thanks Kirsi for the comment. Have you been able to interact with many of the Acts 29 church planters?

Hi! Thanks for posting about Acts 29! I think the best way to learn more about who we are is to visit a church to see A29 firsthand - see what you think. I'd highly recommend dropping in for a service at Vintage 21 Church in Raleigh, since it's in your area. They have been around long enough to be well-settled and they are kind of our flagship of the south.
Here's the website: http://www.vintage21.com/

Adriel,
Thank you for visiting. Please feel free to drop by anytime. We'd love to hear more and more about Acts 29. I am hoping to attend the Regional Conference in Raleigh next time (I think October). I've also been in contact with an Acts 29 church planter in Charlotte over the past few months.
