Sam Storms Conference

The Sam Storms conference is just one month away (February 15-17).

I've posted an invitation and resources on my blog. Be sure to check out the link with Sam's audio sermons!!

In anticipation, here are some questions:
1. When did you first hear about Sam Storms?
2. What Sam Storms books have you read? Favorite?
3. What questions do you want to ask him while he is here?

1. I can't remember exactly when... I think in the past year on the DG website or something.

2. Pleasures Evermore

3. I'll have to think about that more... maybe something about the authority/accuracy of revelatory gifts or territorial spirits.

1. I got a free book in the mail from Desiring God a few years ago and it sat on my book shelf for a couple of years. That book was Sam Storms' One Thing.
2. I have actually only read one book by him, but I did love it. I have read several things off his website and have been very encouraged by that and from hearing some of his sermons.
3. I'm not sure about this one.

1. In the 4 Views book he contributed to on gifts (with Grudem as editor, if I remember right).

2. 4 Views, Beginner's Guide to Spiritual Gifts, parts of Chosen for Life

3. Hmm...I want to know what he meant by his somewhat strange statement on the Lord's Supper in his post about his theological positions. I'll probably have some questions about spiritual gifts.

Don't forget to reserve Saturday lunch especially as a time for us to spend some time with Dr. Storms and maybe ask some questions.

1. I was working at a Christian Bookstore part time in college. Actually, I was doing very little work and a lot of reading during working hours (not the best Christian example). I noticed a book on the shelf I had never see before called "Pleasures Evermore." I turned the book over and saw that it was endorsed by John Piper. I started reading it and in the introduction Sam says something like, "If only have time to read one book, put this one down and read Desiring God by Piper." I was immediately hooked.

2. I have read them all. One Thing and Pleasures Evermore are his best books. Chosen for Life is a great explanation of Election.

3. I would love to hear him talk about Amillenialism and the miraculous gifts.

If you have a copy of One Thing, look at page 41 and see what you think about his comments regarding the Lords Supper there.
